Accessibility Through Design
The Pure Design website is designed and built to conform to the latest standards and guidelines for online content. The site uses a combination of strict XHTML markup together with CSS to deliver content that is accessible to as wide an audience as possible.
- Compliant Strict XHTML markup
- External CSS
- Designated access keys for easy keyboard navigation
- Fully structured semantic markup for content [using preset html tags]
- Screen-reader friendly
- Fully scaleable text
Access keys are keyboard shortcuts that give a keyboard or screen-reader user quick and easy access to all the main areas of the site.
If you are using Windows pressing the ‘Alt’ key in combination with the access key will highlight that link on the page, you then press ‘Enter’ to select that link.
If you are using a Mac pressing the ‘Ctrl’ key in combination with the access key will automatically send you to that specific page.
